What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peel comprises exfoliating solutions like alpha hydroxyl acids (AHAs) in the form of lactic, and glycolic acids; and beta hydroxyl acids (BHAs) like salicylic acid. Some solutions also include trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to remove the damaged layers of skin, revealing softer and more youthful skin from underneath.

How do chemical peels work?

The AHAs and BHAs used in chemical peels have the concentration up to 20% and 60% respectively. These highly potent Chemicals are applied to the skin, to create blisters and eventually peel off.
